"Excellent food, great friendly service"
Stopped her for a late lunch on the off chance, and were lucky. Greeted as we walked in by a very friendly waitress who showed to us to a table and left menus. No pressure to order quickly. Drinks were brought while we browsed the menu. Food was excellent and decently priced. I live local to this place,and why i have not eaten here more often, I just do not know. Will have to remedy that.

"Fabulous and Friendly"
Stopped for lunch on way to Darlington. Wow! You walk through the door and are welcomed by one of the widest smiles I have seen in some time. Great service. We can highly recommend the belly pork which was heavenly.
Great food, friendly staff, really please to be moving to the region.

"Really great quality food"
This is a local pub to us and we eat here rarely. However, last night we booked in and I have to say what a difference to a few months ago. The food was absolutely lovely! I had the Thyme chicken dish and my husband had a hot shot parmo. We ordered onion rings as an extra because they are always huge, cooked really well and crispy, they didn't disappoint. My chicken dish was so flavourful, the picture doesn't do it justice. We will 100% return more often

"All round excellent"
I was a regular visitor here 20+ years ago and was pleasantly surprised to see that I still recognised the interior after all the intervening years. The staff today were pleasant and welcoming, attentive without being intrusive. I visited on a Wednesday lunchtime and there was a steady stream of customers whilst I was there. The food was prepared and served promptly and was excellent.

“Good ales, food & friendly service”
“Came across this on Trip Advisor while visiting the area on a break to Fishguard. Three real ales, a varied main menu and specials on the blackboard. Unfortunately, my dietary requirements prevented my main choice, but staff were able to identify this, and I selected the pork. Very nice. My wife said the fish pancake was great. Would come back here when I’m in the area again.”

“Looking great since the refurbishment”
“The pub looks great since the much needed refurbishment. Modern but still with the traditional vibe. Great food and menu, it has a great choice of more higher priced meals together with some great food offers. We had the Lamb, the Duck and the Cod Lion, all very fresh, tasty and enough to fill our bellies. Great pint of Black Sheep Cask Ale. Nice to see the beer garden at the back looking good and with a kids play area. Well done, will be back again very soon”

“Great Food”
Friendly staff, Food fantastic, great atmosphere. I had the Mushroom starter, and Nige had the Chicken. The Trio of Pork was amazing.
The Delice was an explosion of flavour.
Service great.
Looking forward to back.
